Raja Ampat focuses on official training and indigenous tourism rights

In Raja Ampat, 70 members of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) have been dispatched to the Mako Brimob Education and Training Center in Yogyakarta for professional development. Vice Regent Mansyur Syahdan emphasized the importance of this training for improving discipline, physical capability, and the enforcement of regional regulations, urging participants to maintain the reputation of the Raja Ampat Regency government.

Separately, Franky Umpain, a member of the Papua Barat Daya Provincial Legislative Council (DPRP), has concluded a recess period aimed at gathering community feedback. Umpain reported several recommendations to the Raja Ampat local government, focusing on the need to protect indigenous rights within the tourism sector. He advocated for policies that prioritize local contractors and indigenous communities to ensure they remain primary beneficiaries of tourism development rather than being marginalized by large-scale investors.
