Raja Ampat officials focus on security and sustainable development

Regional leaders in Raja Ampat, Papua Barat Daya, have undertaken initiatives to strengthen local governance and environmental preservation.

Brigadier General Audie Sonny Latuheru, the Police Chief of Papua Barat Daya, conducted a working visit to the Raja Ampat Police Station to enhance coordination and ensure police readiness in serving the community. The visit aimed to foster synergy between law enforcement, local government, and community elements to maintain security and order, particularly for residents and tourists.

Simultaneously, the Raja Ampat Regency Government has officially inaugurated the Sustainable Development Partner Forum. Regent Orideko Iriano Burdam led the inauguration, stating that the forum is a strategic step to address development challenges while protecting the region's marine biodiversity. The initiative seeks to balance rapid tourism and infrastructure growth with the preservation of Raja Ampat’s coral reefs and marine ecosystems.
