Raja Club Athletic appoints Paco Jémez as new head coach

Raja Club Athletic has officially appointed Spanish coach Paco Jémez to lead the first team, succeeding Tunisian manager Nassereddine Nabi. The appointment comes as the club seeks technical stability ahead of the upcoming season.

Nabi’s departure follows reported tensions regarding sporting direction and recruitment policies. Disagreements between Nabi and the club’s Portuguese sporting director, Rogério Matias, centered on the division of responsibilities and summer transfer market management. The club confirmed the contract termination was handled in accordance with contractual provisions, including a two-month salary indemnity.

Paco Jémez brings extensive experience from Spanish clubs such as Rayo Vallecano, Las Palmas, Granada, Córdoba, and Ibiza, as well as international experience in Iran with Tractor. He has also served as an assistant coach in England. His tactical approach is expected to focus on possession and organized play as he begins evaluating the squad for the new campaign.
