Rajarshi Shah honored by tribal village renaming in Adilabad

Residents of the Kolam tribal hamlet of Dahiguda in Adilabad have renamed their village ‘Rajarshi Shahguda’ to honor District Collector Rajarshi Shah. The gesture follows his initiative to resolve long-standing housing and land issues in the community.

While the village had previously been sanctioned Indiramma Houses, residents lacked the land necessary to begin construction. Collector Shah identified government plots and issued house-site pattas to 17 families, enabling the completion of several homes. During a recent visit to inaugurate completed houses, the Collector also addressed other local concerns, including electricity supply, mobile network connectivity, and the need for Aadhaar cards.

To support local economic development, Shah announced plans to provide goat and dairy buffalo units, as well as free tailoring training for women. He also committed to addressing infrastructure needs such as mobile towers and improved transportation in the region.
