Rajasthan announces recruitment for 24,752 sanitation workers

The Rajasthan Department of Local Self Government has announced a recruitment drive for 24,752 sanitation worker (Safai Karmchari) positions across 183 urban local bodies in the state. The recruitment will be conducted under the Rajasthan Contractual Hiring to Civil Posts Rules, 2022.

Of the total vacancies, 24,277 are allocated to non-TSP areas, while 475 are for TSP areas. Eligible candidates must be residents of Rajasthan and possess at least one year of experience as a sanitation worker. The age requirement is between 21 and 40 years, with calculations based on January 1, 2027, though age relaxations apply for reserved categories.

The online application process began on August 15, 2026, and will remain open until September 28, 2026. Applicants must complete a One Time Registration (OTR) via the SSO portal. Application fees are set at ₹600 for general and unreserved categories and ₹400 for OBC, BC, SC, ST, and persons with disabilities.
