Rajasthan ATS detains Tonk youth over suspected terror links
The Rajasthan Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has detained a man identified as Wasit from Tonk on suspicion of having links to a terrorist organization. Investigators are currently probing whether Wasit was in contact with a handler associated with the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
During searches conducted at Wasit's residence in Tonk, officials seized digital devices and financial records, including bank account details. These materials are being examined to determine the extent of any suspected connections to banned terror networks. Wasit has been taken to Jaipur for questioning and may be moved to Delhi for further interrogation.
This arrest follows a similar investigation in June, when the Rajasthan ATS arrested Babita Dhad (alias Khadija) for alleged social media contacts with individuals linked to JeM.
