Rajasthan BJP ready for upcoming Panchayat and local body elections

Rajasthan Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Madan Rathore said the party is fully prepared for the upcoming Panchayat and local body elections in the state. He highlighted a strong organisational structure down to the booth level, with responsibilities assigned to every party worker, and expressed confidence of a resounding victory, noting that the BJP has won more than 80 % of seats in recent by‑elections. Rathore also pointed to the party’s win in a local‑body by‑election held in the constituency of State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra.

The BJP will focus its campaign on local development, presenting a comprehensive roadmap for Panchayats and urban local bodies. Rathore criticised internal infighting within the Congress, citing a dispute between Govind Singh Dotasra and former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, and referenced past tensions involving senior leader Sachin Pilot. He said the Congress is preoccupied with internal rivalries while the BJP government, under Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, continues development projects such as the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project and the Yamuna water project.
