Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma discusses women's safety and empowerment
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma held a dialogue with Suraksha Sakhi members and youth representatives to discuss women's safety and law and order. During the interaction, the Chief Minister gathered feedback on local challenges regarding the security of women and girls, emphasizing that the participation of society alongside police and administration is essential to creating a safe environment.
Addressing women's empowerment and education, the Chief Minister highlighted several state achievements. He noted that over 14 lakh bicycles have been distributed to female students to improve school and college attendance, and 46,000 meritorious students have received free scooters.
In the health sector, the 'Maa Voucher Yojana' has issued over 482,000 coupons providing free ultrasound services to pregnant women. Additionally, the Chief Minister stated that more than 19 lakh women in the state have reached the 'Lakhpati Didi' category through self-help groups and self-employment schemes, fostering financial independence.
