Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma criticizes Congress and highlights BJP local poll wins

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has criticized the Congress party, accusing it of an agenda centered on corruption and appeasement. Speaking at a public meeting in Barmer, Sharma highlighted the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) recent performance in local body elections, where the party secured boards in 204 local bodies, including significant wins in Barmer, Jaisalmer, and Balotra.

Sharma contrasted his administration's record with the previous Congress government, claiming that the state was left in a "dilapidated" condition. He specifically addressed issues of youth employment and paper leaks, stating that no such leaks have occurred during his nearly three-year tenure. He also announced developmental projects worth over 2,824 crore rupees for the Jodhpur division, covering infrastructure such as roads, electricity, and water.

In separate legal developments, the Rajasthan High Court has sought a detailed report from the state government regarding the management and educational systems of approximately 3,000 madrasas. Additionally, the court quashed two FIRs against Independent MLA Ganesh Raj Bansal and his family, ruling that the 23-year delay in registering the cases amounted to an abuse of the legal process and an act of harassment.
