Rajasthan Education Department Launches Investigations into School Discipline Incidents

The Rajasthan education department has opened investigations into two separate incidents at government schools in the state. In Kota, a video showing students dancing to a Haryanvi song inside a digital classroom went viral on social media, prompting the department to request a report from the school administration and examine how the digital facilities were used and supervised.

In Balotra, a conflict between two female teachers at a government higher secondary school escalated into a physical fight in front of students and parents, which was also captured on video and shared online. The department has formed an inquiry team to determine the cause of the dispute, assess adherence to conduct rules, and recommend disciplinary action.

Both cases have raised questions about the management of digital resources and staff behavior in Rajasthan’s public schools, and officials say appropriate measures will be taken based on the findings of the investigations.
