Rajasthan expands Foundation with 11 new global chapters
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has announced the expansion of the Rajasthan Foundation by establishing 11 new chapters to encourage investment and participation from the state's diaspora. These new chapters include six in India—Raipur, Lucknow, Patna, Siliguri, Panaji, and Visakhapatnam—and five international locations: San Francisco, Zurich, Milan, Dublin, and a Nordic chapter in Stockholm covering Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland. This expansion will bring the total number of chapters to 51, with 25 in India and 26 abroad.
To support the diaspora, the state has formed the Department of Domestic and Overseas Rajasthan Affairs and launched the Rajasthan Development Support Portal alongside the NRR Policy-2025. The Chief Minister also highlighted infrastructure improvements, including water projects like the Ram Jalsetu Link and the expansion of electricity and connectivity through nine new greenfield expressways. Additionally, the government has streamlined business processes, reducing the ‘consent-to-operate’ timeline for MSMEs from 120 days to 30 days.
