Rajasthan Government increases DA and DR by 3 percent

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has approved a 3 percent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for Rajasthan state employees and pensioners ahead of Diwali. This hike raises the rates from 60 percent to 63 percent.

The decision is expected to benefit over 700,000 government employees and more than 500,000 pensioners. Additionally, the state government has approved an ad-hoc bonus for approximately 600,000 eligible employees. Combined, these measures will impose an additional financial burden of approximately 1,226 crore rupees on the state exchequer.

The increased DA and DR will be effective from July 1, 2026. Arrears for the period from July 1 to October 31, 2026, will be credited to the General Provident Fund (GPF) accounts of employees, while the increased allowance will be paid in cash along with November 2026 salaries. Pensioners will receive the increased relief in cash starting from July 1, 2026.
