Rajasthan police arrest wanted criminal and thwart ATM robbery
In Sawai Madhopur, Kundera police arrested Saddam alias Bihari, a notorious history-sheeter with a reward of 25,000 rupees. The arrest took place in the Lalsot area of Dausa district during a special campaign to apprehend wanted criminals. Bihari was wanted for several offenses, including attempted murder involving gunfire and the creation of fraudulent passports through collusion with various departments.
In a separate incident in Bharatpur, a planned ATM robbery was thwarted by the alertness of Constable Uday Singh. While patrolling the Mathura Gate area, the constable noticed an ATM shutter that was partially closed, raising suspicion. Upon investigation, one suspect fled, but the constable managed to trap two others inside the ATM by closing the shutter. Police recovered tools including a grinder, iron rods, and cutters from the scene and are currently searching for a third accomplice.
