Rajasthan Police blocks 15,000 numbers in child abuse material crackdown

Rajasthan Police has launched a major cyber operation to combat the online dissemination of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSEAM). Following the technical analysis of approximately 25,000 inputs and digital trails, authorities have blocked 15,326 mobile numbers, roughly 7,800 URLs and social media profiles, and over 100 digital devices.

ADG Cyber Crime V. K. Singh stated that the crackdown involved monitoring various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and WhatsApp. Investigations also revealed that some individuals utilize private or paid groups on Telegram and Discord, or share links to content hosted on cloud storage. The operation was supported by tipline reports from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Legal cases have been registered in several districts, including Churu, Nagaur, Alwar, Khairthal-Tijara, Sikar, Hanumangarh, and Chittorgarh. Authorities emphasized that under the POCSO Act, the possession, transmission, or distribution of such material carries severe legal penalties, including imprisonment and fines.
