Rajasthan police bust interstate drug gang, seize smack worth 3 crore

Police in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, have dismantled an interstate drug smuggling ring, seizing 153.34 grams of smack with an estimated international market value of 30 million rupees (3 crore).

The operation took place near the Kushalta Toll Plaza on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway following intelligence provided by the Jaipur Range Cyber Cell. Acting on a tip that a pickup vehicle and a Swift Dzire car were meeting to exchange narcotics, police intercepted both vehicles.

Authorities arrested Subhash Gurjar, a resident of Karauli currently living in Dausa, who was found in the car, and Ramniwas Meena, a resident of Baran, who was in the pickup vehicle. Preliminary investigations indicate the suspects were involved in supplying drugs across various regions, including Sawai Madhopur, Karauli, Dausa, Jaipur, and the national capital region. Both vehicles used in the transaction were confiscated.
