Rajasthan Police increases security ahead of Independence Day

Rajasthan Police has intensified security measures ahead of Independence Day to maintain law and order. Director General of Police Rajiv Sharma conducted a high-level meeting to review security arrangements, focusing on preventing drug trafficking and illegal weapon supplies.

Special emphasis is being placed on monitoring border areas to curb smuggling activities. Authorities are working closely with local citizens in districts like Sri Ganganagar and Bikaner to encourage the reporting of suspicious activities.

In response to drone-related smuggling, the Border Security Force (BSF), intelligence agencies, and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) are conducting coordinated surveillance. DGP Sharma noted that recent collaborative efforts have led to a decrease in drone-based smuggling incidents.
