Rajasthan police rescue 10 girls in Jhalawar child trafficking bust

Rajasthan police conducted a coordinated anti‑trafficking operation in the Jhalawar district, rescuing 10 girls – seven of them minors – and arresting six suspects linked to an interstate child‑trafficking network. The victims were taken into the care of child‑welfare authorities for counselling and reunification with families.

Investigators say the racket’s network extended from Jhalawar and nearby towns such as Bundi and Tonk to Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh and Mumbai in Maharashtra. The raid was carried out after information from Mumbai police, leading to joint actions across state lines. Authorities are probing financial and communication links to identify further perpetrators and potential additional victims.
