Rajasthan weather shifts as Western Disturbance brings rain and temperature drop

A Western Disturbance has triggered significant weather changes across Rajasthan, bringing heavy rainfall and a notable drop in temperature. In Jaipur, approximately 20 minutes of rain led to cooler conditions, while Alwar experienced nearly four hours of continuous downpour.

In Churu, specifically in Ratan Garh and Salasar, persistent rain has caused widespread waterlogging, complicating local movement. Sujangarh recorded 16 mm of rainfall, accompanied by a temperature decrease of approximately 7 degrees Celsius. In Karauli, heavy cloud cover caused darkness during daylight hours.

The weather shift has also resulted in property damage; in Dholpur, a 60-foot wall of a house collapsed due to storms and rain, though no casualties were reported. These events follow previous reports of hailstorms across more than seven districts in the state.
