Rajat Patidar names Chris Gayle greatest T20 batter

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar has named Chris Gayle as the greatest T20 batter of all time. During a segment on the ‘Sports Launchpad’ YouTube channel, Patidar participated in a selection process to identify the best player in the format.

Patidar’s selection process involved choosing between several cricketing legends. He initially selected Rohit Sharma over players such as Jos Buttler and David Warner, but later chose AB de Villiers over Sharma. In the final round, Patidar chose Gayle over de Villiers.

Gayle’s IPL statistics include 4,965 runs in 142 matches, featuring six centuries and 31 half-centuries. Of those runs, 3,163 were scored for RCB. Patidar also discussed his relationship with Virat Kohli, noting that Kohli provided significant support during his appointment as RCB captain ahead of the 2025 season.
