Rajesh Sharma denies insect bite caused hospitalization

Actor Rajesh Sharma has clarified the circumstances surrounding his recent hospitalization, denying rumors that an insect bite on a film set caused his medical emergency.

Sharma addressed reports suggesting he was bitten by a poisonous insect or spider while filming the upcoming movie ‘Fauzi’ in Hyderabad. He stated that nothing happened on the set and defended the production team and lead actor Prabhas, describing them as ‘nice people.’

The actor explained that his condition was actually caused by a long-standing skin problem on his right leg that developed into a severe infection. He noted that the situation worsened after he returned to Kolkata due to high diabetes levels, which he had not initially taken seriously.

Sharma also addressed a social media post by director Sudipa Chatterjee, who had previously suggested an insect bite was the cause. He clarified that while she acted out of concern, she was ‘wrong informed.’ Sharma is currently recovering and expects to return to work within a week.
