Rajgarh bus crash kills four and injures 11 in Madhya Pradesh

Four people, including the driver, were killed and 11 others injured after a speeding sleeper bus crashed into a bridge wall in the Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh on Friday morning. The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on the Bhopal bypass bridge in Biaora as the vehicle, traveling from Kanpur to Indore, lost control while negotiating a curve.

The impact shattered the windows of the upper-deck sleeper section, causing some passengers to fall from the bridge. Local residents and police assisted in rescuing passengers trapped in the severely damaged vehicle. All injured individuals were initially taken to the Civil Hospital in Biaora, though four passengers in critical condition were referred to Bhopal for further treatment.

Rajgarh Superintendent of Police Amit Tolani stated that speeding appears to be the primary cause of the crash, though investigations are ongoing. Among the deceased are reportedly a Station House Officer and a cyber inspector from Bengaluru. Minister of State Narayan Singh Panwar visited the hospital to meet with the injured and monitor medical care.
