Indian cinema superstar Rajinikanth recently celebrated 51 years in the film industry. The milestone was marked on August 15, 2026, during the production of his upcoming 173rd film, Dharman.

Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International and Turmeric Media, Dharman features Rajinikanth in the role of a medical doctor. The production team has successfully completed the second shooting schedule ahead of schedule, keeping the project on track for a targeted completion by October.

The film features a cast including Simran Bagga, Raashii Khanna, and Yogi Babu. Technical contributions include music by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Niketh Bommireddy. Following the conclusion of Dharman, Rajinikanth is expected to star in Jailer 2.
