Rajinikanth film Dharman expected to complete shooting by October 2026

Director Ashwath Marimuthu has provided an update on the production of the upcoming film ‘Dharman’, starring Rajinikanth. The director confirmed that filming for the project is expected to conclude by October 2026.

Marimuthu described the working environment as positive, noting that Rajinikanth brings a ‘Gen Z vibe’ to the set and maintains a high level of respect for the craft and the director. The film, which was previously referred to as ‘Thalaivar 173’, is produced by Kamal Haasan.

The cast includes Raashii Khanna, Rukmini Vasanth, and Yogi Babu, with Anirudh Ravichander composing the music. Marimuthu also mentioned that following this project, he plans to begin production on a film with Silambarasan TR in February 2027.
