Maddock Films has announced that the biographical legal drama ‘Prahaar’ is scheduled for theatrical release on October 16, 2026. The film stars Rajkummar Rao in the lead role as Ujjwal Nikam, a prominent Indian public prosecutor.

Directed by Avinash Arun Dhaware and produced by Dinesh Vijan, the movie focuses on Nikam’s career, specifically his role in high-profile prosecutions such as the 1993 Mumbai bombings and the 26/11 terror attacks. A teaser suggests the narrative centers on the prosecution of Ajmal Kasab, the surviving terrorist from the 2008 attacks.

The cast also includes Wamiqa Gabbi, Sikander Kher, and Jaideep Ahlawat.
