Rajkummar Rao: The journey of a National Award-winning actor

Actor Rajkummar Rao, originally from Gurugram, Haryana, has established a significant presence in Bollywood despite lacking a cinematic background. After studying at Delhi University, he trained at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune before moving to Mumbai.

His career progressed from small roles, such as a news anchor in the 2010 film Ran, to mainstream recognition in Ragini MMS (2011) and a career breakthrough in Ka Paa Ran Ran Kariya (2013). He received the National Film Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of human rights activist Shahid Azmi in the film Shahid (2013).

Since then, he has appeared in various successful films including Bareilly Ki Barfi, Stree, Newton, and Badhaai Do, while also expanding his work into OTT platforms.
