Rajnath Singh asserts decisive action against terrorism and Naxalism

Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that the country has taken decisive and uncompromising action against terrorism and Left-Wing Extremism (LWE). Speaking in the national capital, Singh asserted that the armed forces have been entering terrorist strongholds to eliminate threats and that national security has become a core priority of governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration.

Singh addressed the ideological roots of Naxalism, claiming the government has largely eradicated the menace. He challenged the narrative that poverty drives Naxalism, arguing instead that “Naxalism itself caused poverty to spread.” Additionally, the Defence Minister expressed frustration toward political critics whom he accused of questioning the bravery and courage of soldiers for electoral purposes.
