Rajouri Police bust Lashkar-e-Taiba linked terror network

Rajouri Police have dismantled an Over Ground Worker (OGW) network allegedly linked to the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in the Pir Panjal region of Jammu and Kashmir. Three individuals—Zakir Hussain, Mohammad Azam, and Mohammad Mushtaq—were arrested during an investigation into a terror module operating in the area.

Preliminary investigations suggest the accused provided logistical support, safe transit, and ground-level assistance to militants. They reportedly acted as guides to facilitate the movement of terrorist groups toward the Kashmir Valley and are suspected of supporting militants involved in several high-profile attacks, including those targeting civilians.

Following a disclosure by one of the detainees, authorities recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED). Officials stated the device was allegedly handed to the suspects by terrorist group members for safe custody, intended for potential use in a future targeted attack. Investigations are ongoing to identify further associates and the full extent of the network.
