Rakul Preet Singh discusses role in upcoming film ‘Ramayana’

Actress Rakul Preet Singh has shared insights regarding her role as Surpanakha in the upcoming epic film ‘Ramayana’. Singh, who portrays the sister of Ravana, stated that she was drawn to the character due to the opportunity to explore complex layers beyond the traditional antagonist portrayal.

Singh noted that the script provided new perspectives on the character’s life both before and after the incident involving Lakshman. The film, which also features Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravie Dubey, Yash, and Sunny Deol, is scheduled for release in cinemas on November 6, 2026.
