Rakuten Card expands brand options and announces design popularity rankings

Rakuten Card has announced the popularity rankings for its ‘My Color Selection’ (new colors) and ‘Okaimono Panda Alphabet Selection’ credit card designs.

For the My Color Selection, ‘Dark Red’ ranked first, followed by ‘Dark Blue’, ‘Pastel Pink’, ‘Pastel Light Blue’, and ‘Pastel Blue’. In the Alphabet Selection, which features the Rakuten Group mascot ‘Okaimono Panda’ alongside 26 different letters, the ‘M’ design ranked first, followed by ‘K’, ‘Y’, ‘A’, and ‘S’.

Additionally, Rakuten Card has expanded its brand options for these specific designs. As of September 14, 2026, customers can now apply for these cards with Visa or JCB brands, joining the existing Mastercard option. The cards feature no annual fee and a 1% Rakuten Point reward rate.
