Rakuten Eagles announce special guests for September 1 game in Akita

The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles have announced special guests for their upcoming game against the Orix Buffaloes on September 1 at Komachi Stadium. Actress Natsuki Kato, a native of Yurihonjo, will perform the ceremonial first pitch, while singer Eiko Matsumoto, from Akita City, will sing the national anthem.

The event is part of the ‘Tohoku Series Supported by Daito Kentaku’ and is being promoted as the ‘Kaze wa Takara! Wenty Japan Night.’ To celebrate the annual game in Akita Prefecture, fans who purchase a MyHERO towel for player Itsuki Ito will receive an original trading card featuring photos from his time with the Rakuten Eagles Junior program.
