Rakuten Mobile to end non-ID service amid Super SALE launch

Rakuten Mobile has announced that it will end the ability to use its services without a linked Rakuten ID on November 30. Users who do not upgrade to a Rakuten Member account or complete a contract transfer by the deadline will face automatic cancellation of their contracts and the loss of their phone numbers.

Simultaneously, Rakuten is launching its Rakuten Super SALE, a major e-commerce event starting September 4 at 20:00. The sale features various promotions, including a two-hour limited 50% off coupon for all items in select shops and point-reward campaigns for multi-store shopping. Featured products include gaming consoles like PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, as well as specialized items such as AROLYM BoneBeat Swim Lite bone conduction earphones, which are being offered at a 51% discount during the event.
