Rakuten Monkeys promote Wei-Sheng Tao to first team

The Rakuten Monkeys have announced roster changes to implement a dual foreign hitter strategy. Wei-Sheng Tao has been promoted to the first team, while Chang Chao-hung has been moved to the second team.

Manager Tseng Hao-chu previously indicated that Tao would return to the first team this week to join Wick, forming a powerful duo of foreign hitters. The team plans to officially utilize this configuration during their upcoming series against the Wei Chuan Dragons at the Taipei Dome.

Tao has shown significant improvement in the second team, recording a .394 batting average with eight RBIs across ten games. This move aims to bolster the team's central lineup during a critical period of the second half of the season.
