Raúl Asencio acquitted of video sharing charges after drunk driving conviction

Real Madrid central defender Raúl Asencio has been acquitted of charges related to the non-consensual sharing of an intimate video involving minors. The prosecution withdrew the accusation after the two women involved, who were minors at the time of the events, forgave Asencio and his former teammates. While Asencio was cleared, three of his former teammates still face charges regarding child pornography.

Separately, Asencio has been convicted of driving while intoxicated. Following a routine traffic stop in Gran Canaria, the 23-year-old was found to have a blood alcohol level nearly four times the legal limit. As a result of the accelerated procedure, he has been ordered to pay a 14,400 euro fine and received an eight-month driving license suspension.
