Raúl Asencio acquitted in sexual content case after legal battles
Real Madrid defender Raúl Asencio has been acquitted of charges regarding the distribution of sexual content involving a minor. While three of his former teammates received suspended prison sentences for recording and sharing explicit videos, the Spanish prosecutor's office withdrew charges against Asencio after the victims expressed their forgiveness.
Separately, Asencio has faced legal consequences for a driving offense in Gran Canaria. After testing significantly above the legal alcohol limit in August, he was sentenced to pay a fine of 14,400 euros and received an eight-month suspension of his driver's license.
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has addressed the situation, praising Asencio's professionalism during training while emphasizing that players represent the club 24 hours a day. The club has reportedly initiated internal disciplinary proceedings following the driving incident.
