Raúl Jiménez returns to Wolves, helps 3-0 win over Port Vale

Mexican striker Raúl Jiménez made his first appearance for Wolverhampton Wanderers in three years, coming on as a substitute in the 70th minute of the Carabao Cup first‑round match against fourth‑division side Port Vale. The Wolves secured a 3‑0 victory, with goals from Adam Armstrong (14'), André Trindade da Costa (34') and Fer López (43'), advancing to the second round of the competition.

Jiménez was greeted with an ovation from the Molineux crowd and had a late shot on target that was saved by the Port Vale goalkeeper. He said his aim is to help Wolves regain promotion to the Premier League and become a leader both on and off the pitch. The win moves Wolves into the next stage of the EFL Cup, where they will meet clubs from the Premier League.
