Raúl “Purruco” Antuña returns to San Martín de San Juan as sports manager

Raúl “Purruco” Antuña will re‑join San Martín de San Juan in Concepción, taking up the role of manager deportivo. The club announced that Antuña, who previously coached the team to promotion to the Liga Profesional in 2024, will start work next week.

In his new position Antuña will support head coach Alejandro Schiapparelli, collaborate with the existing technical staff and oversee the professional squad, the reserve team and the youth divisions. He said, “From next Tuesday I assume the role; it’s great to be back. I never really left because I always followed the campaign.” Antuña emphasized that his aim is to add experience and help the club stay on a positive trajectory without replacing the current coaching staff.
