Raúl Reyes Vázquez charged in fatal Cerritos traffic accident

Raúl Reyes Vázquez, the son of local Labor Party (PT) deputy María Leticia Vázquez Hernández, has been formally identified as an accused party following a fatal traffic accident in Cerritos. The incident occurred on the Cerritos–Villa Juárez highway, resulting in the death of a young woman and injuries to three others, including Reyes Vázquez.

María Manuela García Cázares, head of the State Attorney General's Office (FGE), stated that while no one was detained at the scene, an investigation is underway. The case is presumed to involve involuntary manslaughter. Governor José Ricardo Gallardo Cardona commented that the legal process must proceed according to the law, emphasizing that “no one is above the law.”
