Raley’s, a supermarket chain operating since 1935, has announced plans to close seven stores across California and Nevada as part of a structural reorganization. The company cited low performance, local market conditions, and the need for long-term financial sustainability as the primary reasons for the closures.

The phased closure schedule includes the following:

- Roseville, Antioch, and Mountain View Nob Hill Foods locations have already closed. - The Brentwood, California location is set to close on November 3, 2026. - The Elko, Nevada location is scheduled to close in December 2026. - The Petaluma location will close on January 26, 2027. - The Los Gatos Nob Hill Foods location will close in June 2027 upon the expiration of its lease.

Spokesperson Chelsea Carbahal clarified that these closures do not represent a company-wide downsizing, noting that each location is evaluated individually during lease renewal periods. The company aims to transition as many employees as possible to other locations. Despite these closures, Raley’s plans to continue investing in its network, including the opening of a new store in Madera in March 2027.
