Ralf Richter fundraising campaign raises over 21,000 euros

A fundraising campaign for the late German actor Ralf Richter has concluded after collecting over 21,000 euros. Richter, known for his roles in films such as ‘Das Boot’ and ‘Bang Boom Bang’, passed away at the age of 69.

The GoFundMe campaign was initiated by a close family friend, Muriel Tacke, to assist Richter’s family with the financial burden of funeral costs. The original goal was set at 8,000 euros and later increased to 10,000 euros, but the response from fans and friends was so significant that the collection was stopped after 821 donors contributed more than 21,500 euros within a single day.

Maxwell Richter, the actor’s son, shared the appeal and expressed gratitude for the support. He clarified that the initiative was not started by the family members themselves but was a response to the overwhelming public sympathy following the actor's death.
