Ralf Schumacher critiques Hamilton and Verstappen

Former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher has shared his assessments regarding several prominent figures in the sport. Speaking on the Backstage Boxengasse podcast, Schumacher highlighted the competitive mentality of Max Verstappen, noting that the Red Bull driver appreciates being challenged by opponents. He observed that Verstappen is regaining strength following recent victories in Malaysia and Singapore, aided by the improved performance of the RB22.

Schumacher also discussed the rising talent of Kimi Antonelli, comparing the young Italian's qualities to those of legends like Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher. He suggested that Antonelli is already among the elite tier of drivers.

Regarding Lewis Hamilton, Schumacher expressed concerns about the seven-time world champion's integration into Ferrari. He suggested there may be friction between Hamilton and team principal Fred Vasseur, alleging that Hamilton is attempting to “overshadow everyone and be the boss” rather than integrating into the existing team structure. While acknowledging Hamilton's intelligence in changing conditions, Schumacher argued the driver needs to adjust his approach to build a more productive relationship with the Maranello-based team.
