Raline Shah resigns as Special Staff to Indonesia's Minister of Communication and Digital

Indonesian actress Raline Shah has resigned from her position as Special Staff to the Minister of Communication and Digital, specifically overseeing Global Partnerships and Digital Education. Her resignation is effective October 13, 2026, following a tenure that began in January 2025.

During her time at the ministry, Shah contributed to initiatives regarding digital literacy, cybersecurity, and child protection in the digital sphere. A key part of her mandate involved the implementation of Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 (PP TUNAS), which establishes a legal framework for the management of electronic systems to ensure a safe digital environment for children.

Shah cited a desire to refocus on her professional career in the entertainment industry as the reason for her departure. Minister Meutya Hafid acknowledged Shah’s contributions to Indonesia’s digital transformation agenda and stated that the government respects her decision. Shah will assist in the handover process to ensure the continuity of ongoing ministry programs.
