Rally do Cerrado begins 619 km competition in Goiás

The 29th edition of the Rally do Cerrado commences this Friday in Goiás, Brazil, spanning three days of competition from October 30 to November 1. Part of the Brazilian 4x4 Regularity Rally Championship, the event features a total course of 619 kilometers.

Goiânia serves as the central hub for the event, with all starts and finishes located at Parque Marcos Veiga Jardim near the Goiânia Autodrome. The competition is a regularity rally, meaning success depends on precision, navigation, and maintaining specific average speeds rather than pure speed.

The three-day schedule includes a 160-kilometer opening stage on Friday, a 309-kilometer long-distance stage on Saturday, and a final 150-kilometer stage on Sunday. The event includes various car categories such as Master, Graduado, Turismo, and Open, with specific segments for beginners and motorcyclists scheduled for the weekend.
