Rally motorsport updates: Assetto Corsa teases new cars and Project Rally One begins testing

Assetto Corsa Rally has teased three new vehicles for its upcoming Early Access Update 0.6. A teaser video featuring engine sounds and bodywork shots suggests the addition of a Peugeot 206 WRC, a Volkswagen Polo GTI R5, and an early Audi Quattro rally car.

In separate motorsport news, Project Rally One has commenced prototype testing for the 2027 World Rally Championship season. Founded by industry experts including Lionel Hansen and Yves Matton, the new manufacturer completed 300 kilometers of high-speed testing on a German circuit. The prototype utilizes a 1.6-litre Volkswagen Group engine and was tested by drivers including former WRC racer Stephane Lefebvre. The team plans to enter two cars in half of the 2027 season rounds, starting with the Monte Carlo event.
