Rally racing updates in Portugal and the Azores

Pedro Câmara has secured the 2026 Azores 2-Wheel Drive Championship title. Driving an Opel Corsa Rally4, Câmara finished the season with 162 points, making it mathematically impossible for runner-up Rafael Botelho to overtake him. With five victories, Câmara becomes the youngest driver ever to win this regional trophy, adding it to his recent Peugeot Rally Cup Ibérica title.

In the Portuguese Rally Championship (CPR), the title race has intensified following an accident at the Algarve Rally. Ruben Rodrigues currently holds a six-point lead over Pedro Almeida. While Almeida has maintained consistent scoring, Rodrigues faces a challenge to maintain his margin. Rodrigues stated that his focus remains exclusively on the CPR as he prepares for upcoming high-level competition.
