Rallye Elba Storico returns to Italy for championship rounds

The Rallye Elba Storico is set to take place from September 24 to 26, serving as a critical event for both the Abarth Yokohama Trophy and the Italian Championship for Historic Car Rally (CIRAS).

For the Abarth Yokohama Trophy, the Elba rally represents the penultimate round and the final asphalt event of the series. It offers double points across two distinct stages. Seventeen crews are registered, including championship leaders Marcello Morino and Massimo Barrera, as well as 2025 titleholders Fabrizio Zanelli and Claudio Zanni.

In the CIRAS competition, the 38th edition of the rally organized by ACI Livorno Sport will feature ten special stages covering over 140 kilometers. The event is a decisive moment for the championship standings, particularly in the IV Group, where Matteo Luise holds a 10-point lead over Andrea Smiderle. The 2026 edition will also include the Pre-1992 and Pre-2000 European series and the penultimate round of the Italian Historic Regularity Rally Championship.
