New York Fashion Week begins with Ralph Lauren and Coach shows
New York Fashion Week has commenced with major presentations from American fashion houses Ralph Lauren and Coach. Both brands reported double-digit revenue growth in the recent quarter despite a slowing luxury market.
Ralph Lauren’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection, described as an “irreverent take on romance,” featured a palette of navy blue and white. The show, held at the Jack Shainman Gallery, blended masculine tailoring with sensual silhouettes, incorporating elements like distressed denim, lace, and feathers. The collection drew high-profile attendees including Viola Davis, Cynthia Erivo, and Elizabeth Debicki.
Coach celebrated its 85th anniversary with a Spring/Summer 2027 showcase. Creative Director Stuart Vevers focused on reinterpreting the brand’s heritage through a youthful lens, emphasizing leather goods and New York-inspired aesthetics. The event featured global ambassadors such as Elle Fanning and Troye Sivan.
Other designers, including Tory Burch and Diane von Furstenberg, are also participating in the season's dense schedule of shows.
