Ralph Orquín joins Cruz Azul as free agent from Club América

Cruz Azul has finalized the signing of 23-year-old left-back Ralph Orquín to strengthen their defensive line for the Liga MX Apertura 2026 tournament. The Mexican-American defender joins the club as a free agent following the conclusion of his contract with Club América.

Orquín, who was born in Texas, previously gained top-flight experience during a loan spell with FC Juárez. His move to Cruz Azul aims to provide competition for the left-back position. Because he joined as a free agent, Club América will only receive a percentage related to his training rights rather than a transfer fee.
