Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is set to release the crime drama ‘Police Company’ on June 4, 2027. The film is inspired by true events involving Mumbai's underworld and the police operations conducted against it between 1997 and 2004.

Starring Harshvardhan Rane as real-life encounter specialist Daya Nayak, the movie aims to shift the focus from gang wars to the police officers fighting organized crime. Varma has claimed that police operations during this period resulted in the deaths of approximately 319 gangsters.
