Ram Kapoor faces backlash over Lock Upp 2 remarks, wife Gautami backs him

Reality‑TV star Rakhi Sawant criticised the escalating drama on the Indian show Lock Upp 2, defending actor Ram Kapoor and condemning body‑shaming and aggressive language among contestants. She said the show had crossed the line from entertainment into “ugly territory”.

Ram Kapoor, who has made controversial comments on relationships, infidelity and a reference to rape during his appearance on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, attracted widespread criticism on social media. Despite the backlash, his wife Gautami Kapoor posted a supportive Instagram Story with the caption “Only love”, standing by him amid the debate. The show, hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, streams on Netflix and features 15 celebrity contestants.
