Ram Mandir Trust demands strict action after donation theft, accuses Akhilesh Yadav
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya reported a theft of donated funds during a counting process. Trust chairman Mahant Nritya Gopaldas wrote a letter expressing deep sorrow and demanding the harshest possible punishment for those responsible, expressing confidence in Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the Prime Minister to ensure justice.
Police have already arrested eight suspects in connection with the incident. The trust held a four‑hour meeting to review the theft, discuss financial documents and administrative matters, and subsequently held a press conference. Treasurer Swami Govind Dev Giri publicly blamed Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, linking the alleged perpetrators to previous attacks on party supporters and to legal challenges questioning the historic existence of Lord Rama. Giri urged Hindu devotees to verify facts directly with the trust and reaffirmed belief that the perpetrators will be prosecuted under the law.
